DIET

We were watching '1/2 Ton Mum' last night - about Renee (same age like us), a mother of two who had a problem of overweight.. more than 50 stones..! She was transfered from her house to the ambulance by a crane and the windows were removed to allow her out. Imagine that..! She had underwent a 10 hr surgery to put some sort of device that can control her appetite of eating too much..and stop eating continously. Her story was really really touching.. 24/7 on the bed and couldn't do anything even to comb her small daughter's hair.. She was dead a few days after the surgery due to heart complication, even though she was told to have better chance back to normal.

Anyway, cuba beringat and better control your diet. Eat a lot of fruits and vegs and exercise (paling susah sebab tak sempat. Lebih lagi sekarang sejuk sesangat kat luar tu.. sebenarnya alasan aje ;). Kalau kita lihat orang tua (datuk nenek kita) masih gagah di usia tua (80, 90 tahun) kerana mereka mengamalkan makan ulam-ulam tradisi. My granma for instance still healthy at the age of 95. She can cook, sewing, reading and perform her 5 prayers. So, talking about our local ulam.. you have to eat a lot of them as there are good for your health. My project is on Ulam and Subhanallah, Allah has created plants which contain diverse, various chemical compounds which the bioactivities are beyond understandable. A lot of unknown compounds need to be identified and it will be a challenge to the scientists to search the identity, using the latest and advance technology...
